As per Portuguese newspaper Record (via SportsWitness), 19-year-old Benfica winger Chris Willock is attracting Leeds United and Newcastle as the Portuguese giants look to send him out on a loan till the end of the campaign.
The former Arsenal youth player has yet to feature for Benfica’s senior team, playing for the B side since completing a move from north London during the last transfer window.
However, a return to familiar surroundings is on the cards, with Bournemouth and Millwall joining the Toons and Whites as part of the teams keen.
Willock remains highly-rated by the Eagles and could prove himself back in England having already done so with Arsenal youth teams.
The England youth international has played over 40 games for age-grades Three Lions and also won the U21 Premier League 2 play-offs in 2016.
Cash-strapped Newcastle are only able to afford loan deals this window, and Willock could be a great addition to their attack, although signing him will be a huge gamble.
Leeds are in need of additional fire power as manager Thomas Christiansen looks to lead his men to the Premier League, but it remains to be seen if Willock has the needed-quality required at such level.
