Aston Villa reportedly set sights on Middlesbrough midfielder

The Northern Echo have stated that Aston Villa are considering the signing of Middlesbrough midfielder Adam Forshaw in January transfer window. Before Villa, Derby County and Sunderland have also shown their appreciation for the player.

Villa’ manager Steve Bruce is a big admirer of the 26-year-old midfielder and would now like to bring him at Villa Park.

The former Brentford player is known for his powerful striking ability and physical strength. Although he is not a game-changer, he is quite reliable and proven midfielder with plenty of experience in Championship.

This season Forshaw has had some major injury problems and as a result, has played only 11 games. Due to the persistent fitness issues, he has been sitting on the bench lately, and a January move could be an option for him.

Steve Bruce needs some reinforcements in the midfield ahead of the second half of the season, and Forshaw is one of the likely candidates.
