According to a report published by the Daily Mail, Celtic remain in talks with Dundee United over a fee for defender Jack Hendry.
The Bhoys have already brought in German defender Marvin Compper from RB Leipzig this month but it looks as though manager Brendan Rodgers wishes to bolster his defence even further.
The 22-year old Hendry only joined Dundee from Wigan Athletic during the summer but he has quickly adapted to life in Scotland and his performances have caught the attention of Rodgers.
The centre back looks likely to leave Dundee in the near future and if it is not this month, it will probably be at the end of the season.
Celtic appear to be leading the race to sign him but will need to take action fast as the Premier League trio of Crystal Palace, Newcastle United and Southampton are also reported to be keen.
