French legend and former Arsenal star Thierry Henry wants Celtic striker Moussa Dembele to leave for the English Premier League this month amidst the many news linking the 21-year-old to Brighton.
The EPL striking legend reckons the time is ripe for the France youth international to play in a much bigger league than the Scottish topflight, and is surprised that only the Seagulls are actively in the race for his signature.
Henry recently revealed: “He can play, he can score, it might be time for him to play in a big league. He has all the attributes. I’m just really surprised it’s only Brighton showing interest.”
It’s believed that Brighton are firming up interest in Dembele with a £20million bid anytime soon, although Celtic are reportedly holding out for £25million for their star.
Since arriving from Fulham summer 2016, Dembele has caught the eyes with his impressive return of 40 goals in 70 games across domestic and continental competitions, and it’s only a matter of time until he leaves for the bigger stage.
The Premier League trio of Stoke City, West Ham and Everton are also keeping tabs on the young striker, and even if a winter exit fall through, one come summer will be inevitable.
