£33million-rated 6-goals-in-6-games Everton striking target could be the perfect Lukaku replacement

Everton suffered their 2nd defeat under manager Sam Allardyce against Manchester United on New Year’s day, and one of the post-match talking points was the clear evidence of the Toffees’ dire need for a lethal striker.

A quality signing in that department this month will come handy as the Blues try to push up the Premier League log, and reports from Calcio Mercato claim that the club have shown tangible interest in signing AC Milan striker Andre Silva.

The Serie A giants only just signed the Portugal international some months ago, but are willing to let him go for around the £33million his arrival from Porto cost them.

Silva, 22, has failed to score on the domestic scene, drawing blank in 13 games. However, he has been excellent in the Europa League, banging in 6 goals in 6 games to help Milan top their group heading into the knockout stages.

With Patrick Cutrone now ahead of him in the pecking order and due to Financial Fair Play reasons, Milan are ready to let go of Silva midway through the campaign.

Everton are keen and could finally be getting their perfect Romelu Lukaku replacement in the youngster who scored 9 goals for Portugal during their World Cup qualifying games.

Silva remains a great finisher and aerial threat in front of goal, and he could just prove to be the man Everton have been looking for all along.
