According to a report published by the Daily Record, FC Copenhagen could be set to offer Celtic £1.5 million for defender Erik Sviatchenko during the January transfer window.
The arrival of Marvin Compper at the Hoops from RB Leipzig is likely to have pushed Sviatchenko further down the pecking order at the club and there is a good chance that they will sell him.
Sviatchenko has not featured for Celtic since August and it appears that he is not part of Brendan Rodgers future plans.
It would make sense for him to make a return to his homeland, two years after he left Midtjylland for Scotland.
Celtic meanwhile established an 11 point lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership standings following their 2-0 win over Dundee on Tuesday.
They do however have a game in hand over second placed Aberdeen and next play against Old Firm rivals Rangers on Saturday.
