Chris Sutton has claimed that Celtic winger James Forrest has been the best player in Scotland so far this season.
The 26-year old Forrest delivered a superb performance during the Hoops 2-0 win against Dundee on Boxing Day.
He opened the scoring with a finish from close range before Leigh Griffiths added the second.
The win for Brendan Rodgers men means that they end the year with an 11 point advantage over nearest rivals Aberdeen, though they do have a game in hand over them.
Forrest has no scored 12 goals in all competitions this season and he is playing the best football of his career thus far.
He has been ever-present for the Hoops this season and has become a key part of the team.
Following his performance against Aberdeen, Sutton took to Twitter and revealed that he thinks that Forrest has been the best player in Scotland this season.
He posted, “Celtic stroll it⚽️⚽️ Dundee never in it…Forrest and Griffiths for Celtic? Forrest best player in the country this season.”
