Liverpool star needs to make a shock move to Everton

Sturridge

Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge needs a move to Everton during the January transfer window as much as Everton need to sign a quality striker.

Sturridge was once considered one of the brightest young prospects in English football after coming up the youth ranks at Manchester City and he earned himself a move to Chelsea in 2009 at the age of 19.

After failing to establish himself as a first team regular with the Blues, he ended up moving to Liverpool three-and a half years later for £12million.

The highlight of Sturridge’s career came during the 2013/14 season when he formed a lethal partnership with Luis Suarez and when Liverpool came close to winning the Premier League.

Sturridge has however struggled to earn game time this season and with Roberto Firmino, Mo Salah, Philippe Coutinho and Sadio Mane all in good form, his chances of first team football during the second half of the season are slim.

Sturridge will have to play as regularly as possible if he wants to be part of the England squad that travels to the 2018 World Cup.

Everton meanwhile are in need of a striker and their failure to find a replacement for RomeluLukaku was a major reason as to why they were largely poor before Sam Allardyce became their manager.
