Chris Sutton has indicated that Moussa Dembele could be set to leave Celtic during the January transfer window.
“There are a lot of questions around Celtic at the moment – none more so than the MoussaDembele issue,” he explained in the Daily Record. “ I can’t understand why he wouldn’t be starting – unless he’s off in January.
“You can’t tell me he’s behind OdsonneEdouard and Leigh Griffiths in the pecking order. There’s talk of £20million-plus bids but it’s hard to justify that price tag if you can’t get?in the Celtic side.
“My suspicion is he’s going to?go when the window opens and Edouard coming in from nowhere is a way to prepare.
“Brighton are definitely interested but there will be a few others and if the money is right there will only be one conclusion.”
Hoops manager Brendan Rodgers has opted to leave Dembele on the bench during recent games and Sutton is baffled by the decision as the Frenchman is arguably one of the best forwards in Scottish football.
Dembele is regarded as a promising up and coming talent and played a crucial role for the Hoops last season as they went on to win the domestic treble while being unbeaten in the process. The striker has been linked with a number of clubs from the Serie A, Ligue 1 and Premier League.
