Everton have received a boost as Alvaro Morata will be suspended for their clash against Chelsea on Saturday.
The Spanish forward received his fifth yellow card of the season during Chelsea’s 2-1 Carabao Cup win over Bournemouth on Wednesday night and this rules him out of the game against the Toffees.
After scoring a last minute winner, Morata picked up the ball and placed it under his shirt in order to pay tribute to his wife who is pregnant.
However referee Lee Mason cautioned him for over celebrating which means that he will play no part for his club this weekend.
With Morata unavailable, Chelsea are likely to use Eden Hazard as the focal part of their attack with Willian and Pedro providing support.
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte was not happy with the yellow card that Morata received and said: “But I must be honest, I didn’t see this yellow card. He’s a big loss for us, especially because we have to play a tough game against Everton.”
