Michael Owen has revealed that he believes that West Ham will defeat Newcastle United during the weekend to ensure that the Magpies have a “miserable Christmas”.
West Ham are currently high on confidence as they have enjoyed improved form recently, keeping clean sheets in their last three games which included a win against Chelsea and a draw against Arsenal.
The Magpies meanwhile are currently playing poorly and have lost their last four games. Owen believes that West Ham’s improved form off late will be enough to help them defeat the Magpies.
“West Ham have kept clean sheets in their last three PL games and I think they can make it a miserable Christmas for the Toon Army, given the Magpies go in to the game having lost their last four,” revealed Owen.
The Magpies are currently in the relegation zone and are one point adrift of safety. If Owen’s prediction is correct then troubled times lay ahead for the club.
