According to reliable Journalist Alan Nixon, Newcastle are hoping to sign Liverpool striker Danny Ings in January but are lacking the finances in order to make a deal happen.
The Magpies are currently facing the threat of relegation this season and will be one of the sides that are likely to look at bolstering their side in January. They are said to be keen on signing Ings on loan but lack the finances in order to make a bid.
Ings looks to be surplus to requirements at Liverpool as he has made just two appearances this season and he has also made just 13 appearances for the club since signing from Burnley in 2015.
The fact that Newcastle are even struggling to afford the finances to make a loan bid is of concern especially as it is now clear that they need to make new signings in order to avoid relegation.
