Rio Ferdinand has said that Tottenham must admit that Manchester City were better than them after they were outclassed 4-1 by the Premier League leaders on Saturday.
The win means that City have now won 16 League matches in a row and they look to already have the League title in the bag.
Tottenham were not at their best on the day and could not live with City as they struggled to cope with Pep Guardiola’s sides pressing game.
The loss leaves Spurs in seventh place on the League standings and they could now face a battle just to finish in the top four of the League.
Ferdinand said: “Sometimes you have to hold your hands up and say they are another level. It’s easier to take a defeat when you know on every level you have been outplayed.
“You accept that and move on, that’s the disheartening thing for the rest of the league.”
