Talented midfielder reportedly set to leave Everton in January

According to a report published by The Sun, Liam Walsh is on the verge of leaving Everton and joining Bristol City.

Walsh will join the Championship club for a fee of around £1 million after Robbins manager Lee Johnson held a productive meeting with his advisors.

The deal will reportedly be finalized when the January transfer window opens.

Walsh joined Birmingham on loan during the summer but ended his loan spell prematurely after he slipped down the pecking order at the club after Harry Redknapp was sacked as manager.

Walsh’s chances of first team football at Everton look slim considering that he is below Idrissa Gueye, Tom Davies and Morgan Schneiderlin in the clubs pecking order.

The 20-year-old currently does not look like he is ready for the Premier League so a move to a Championship club will be a good move for him as he looks to launch his career.
