Liverpool have joined in the race with Manchester United for the signature of Liverpool left-back Danny Rose, according to the Daily Star.
Danny Rose has been heavily linked with a move away from Tottenham over the past few months after the left-back complained earlier this season over lack of sufficient pay for himself and his teammates.
Following those comments, the defender has been at odds with Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino and a move away from North London has been touted for the attacking full-back.
While Manchester United have been chasing the left-back for a long time, their arch rivals Liverpool also seem to have joined in on the race to sign the England international – if reports from the Daily Star are to be believed.
According to recent reports, Liverpool have made it their priority to sign Rose either in the January transfer window or at the end of the current season and are already making preparations for a suitable bid.
This competition between the rivals for a single player has raised intrigue among bookies, who have already set odds over the possible destination of Rose. The bookies have tipped Manchester United to be the favorites at 4/6 and Liverpool second favourite at 5/1.
