According to a report published by The Daily Mail, West Ham have become the latest club to express an interest in signing West Brom defender Jonny Evans – who has also been linked with Manchester City and Everton.
After bringing an end to his 11 year association with Manchester United, Evans has regularly managed to churn out impressive performances for the Baggies and is arguably one of the best defenders in the English top flight.
He will not come cheaply though and should the Hammers follow through an attempt to sign him, they may have to eclipse the club record fee which they paid to sign Marko Arnautovic from Stoke during the summer transfer window.
Evans is expected to cost around £30 million and West Ham will likely have to make a few sales if they are to consider him. It is therefore unlikely that they will move for him and will rather likely look elsewhere.
