West Ham star surprisingly ready to sign a new contract

According to reports, West Ham are hoping that Adrian will sign a new contract with the club and are reportedly planning to start the Spain international for their Premier League game against Chelsea.

Adrian was started during the Hammers game against Manchester City during the weekend and delivered a fine performance as West Ham narrowly lost against the League leaders.

Despite returning to contention, the performance of Adrian could mean that manager David Moyes will not select Hart for their fixture against the reigning Premier League champions.

Adrian was reportedly unhappy at being second choice this season and was considering leaving the club during the January transfer window.

However he could be persuaded to stay at the club should he receive more game time and once again become the clubs first choice keeper.

Premier League strugglers Crystal Palace are reportedly fans of the keeper and could swoop if the player does not become content in East London.
