Arsenal and Tottenham battling to sign Real Madrid star

Arsenal and Tottenham are reportedly among five clubs that are interested in signing Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos during the January transfer window.

AC Milan, Roma and Real Betis are the other clubs that are said to be interested in signing the Spain international.

Ceballos joined Madrid during the summer transfer window for a fee of €18 million and he is regarded as one of the best up and coming talents in the La Liga.

It has however been reported that Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane was never really a fan of the player and that he only arrived at the club at the insistence of president Florentino Perez.

The youngster has struggled to receive game time this season and has featured only five times in La Liga, just two of which have been starts.

The most agreeable option for the player would be to return to Betis, however Arsenal and Tottenham are said to have already made inquiries over a possible January move.
