Newcastle among 6 EPL sides keeping tabs on exciting French midfielder

Newcastle and 5 other Premier League clubs are scouting Marseille midfielder Morgan Sanson, and did send representatives to run the rule over him during weekend’s Ligue 1 clash against Bordeaux.

Sanson clearly impressed those in attendance, scoring his 5th league goal of the campaign in form of a late equalizer.

According to Scouts in Attendance, Manchester United, Tottenham, Crystal Palace, Brighton, Southampton, and La Liga duo Eibar and Deportivo all came to watch the 23-year-old.

Sanson left Montpellier for £8million in January, and his impressive form since could be rewarded with a Premier League move soon.

The Magpies could do with more creative number 10’s within their ranks, and the French youth international, who has weighed in 14 assists in his past 35 games across the last 2 campaigns, could be a great bargain signing.

Sanson can also play in deep midfield and on the left wing, but it remains to be seen if he can step up his game in England given how a majority of French homegrown talents struggle in the topflight.
