Aston Villa striker Ross McCormack has reportedly been suspended by Melbourne City.
McCormack, who is currently on loan at the Australian club from Villa, was surprisingly left out of the Villa squad that played against Brisbane Roar last week.
It has since been reported that the 31-year-old missed the game as a result of an internal club suspension by manager Warren Joyce.
McCormack is alleged to have arrived late at training ahead of the game and was subsequently left out of the match day squad by Joyce.
McCormack has so far been in sterling form for the A-League outfit having scored four goals from six games. He could be set to return to action for his club against Perth on Friday.
He joined the club initially on a three month loan deal at the end of September but is likely to end up remaining at the club until the end of the season.
