Liverpool to challenge Arsenal and Chelsea for South American sensation

Anfield

Liverpool have joined the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal in the chase of Shakhtar Donetsk winger Bernard, according to the Daily Mirror.

Bernard is into the final year of his contract with Shakhtar and due to the fear of losing the midfielder for free at the end of the season; the Ukrainian giants have made the midfielder available for a measly fee of around £11.5million during the upcoming January transfer window.

This reduced transfer fee seems to have turned the heads of many suitors across Europe and there seem to be concrete interest from Chelsea and Arsenal in the talented winger.

Now according to reports from the Daily Mirror, Liverpool are the latest team that have joined the chase for Bernard and the Reds will be fairly confident of luring the Brazilian attacker to Anfield due to the fact that their style of play suits pacey wingers.

If the transfer does come into fruition, Bernand will be joining the likes of Sadio Mane, Mo Salah and Roberto Firmino at Liverpool to further add to already one of the most frightening attacks in the division.
