West Ham reportedly in 7-way race for highly-rated Ghanaian international winger

As per Ghana Soccer Net, West Ham are keen on Aalesunds FK winger Edwin Gyasi ahead of a possible January transfer window move.

The 26-year-old impressed for Ghana during the last international break which turned out to be his debut, getting the goal in the 1-all draw with Egypt.

Landing Gyasi won’t be straightforward for the Hammers, though, as they have Swansea and Championship outfits Middlesbrough, Bristol City, Sheffield Wednesday, QPR and Cardiff to beat to his signature.

The former Twente forward is currently rated £2million, and that could prove a huge bargain for the east London club given his potentials.

Gyasi has notched 5 goals and 3 assists in 25 appearances for the Norwegian side this term, and with a year left on his contract, they may look to cash in rather than lose him for nothing at the end of 2018.

The ability of the Dutch-born Ghanaian to evade his marker very often, thread in a great pass and create goalscoring chances will come handy at a side like West Ham, and he could be a great addition for the second half of the campaign and going forward.
