According to reports, Atletico Madrid are lining a move for West Ham midfielder Manuel Lanzini.
Atletico are however likely to face competition for the 24 year old Lanzini given that Tottenham are said to be interested in him and view him as a replacement for Dele Alli, who has been linked with the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid.
Lanzini has just returned from injury and impressed with the Hammers last season.
He established himself as one of the club’s key players following the departure of Dimitri Payet during the January transfer window and his performances were key to helping the club finish 11th in the Premier League last season after the club flirted with relegation.
Meanwhile, it looks unlikely that Lanzini will remain at West Ham for the long-term. His performances have attracted interest from clubs that will be able to offer him higher wages as well as the chance to play for a team that will be able to offer him the chance to challenge for trophies.
