West Ham dealt triple injury blow ahead of Watford clash

David Moyes’ reign in charge of West Ham starts with a visit to Vicarage Road on Sunday to face Watford, and the Scot will be hoping to kick off on a winning note.

However, his chances of doing that have been dealt a huge blow, as the trio of Javier Hernandez, Michail Antonio and Sam Byram won’t be available for selection.

The Mexico international sustained a hamstring injury during the break, and could be ruled out for the next 3 games.

Antonio is still down with a rib injury and is yet to train since Moyes took charge. The English winger has been largely unfit this term, starting just 8 games, with the last one coming against Crystal Palace.

Bryam is yet to play in the Premier League this term, with all his 3 appearances coming in the League Cup, and is expected to return from a thigh strain by December.

The Hammers also have other injury issues, with Jose Fonte a doubt for Sunday, while Winston Reid isn’t set to return from international duty in time to play on Sunday as New Zealand played Peru on Thursday.
