Celtic star James Forrest has admitted that last season was special for him but added that he feels that he is doing even better this season.
“Last season was definitely special – it was one of my best,” Forrest said, as quoted by the Daily Record. “But I’ve kicked on and I’m doing even better this term.”
“We’re not even halfway through this season and I just want to keep improving. I will only get better with the more big matches I play in.”
Forrest played a key role for the Hoops last season as they went on to win the domestic treble unbeaten.
He has been granted an extended run in the first team due to Patrick Roberts being injured and revealed that he is looking to replicate his success of last season.
The 26-year-old believes that playing in many big games has allowed him to reach peak condition and wants to continue getting better.
Forrest has been in good form this season and has scored several goals from 23 matches in all competitions.
