As per Russian outlet Tribuna, Celtic have expressed interest in Dnipro striker Artem Dovbyk ahead of a January move.
The 20-year-old is just a month away from seeing out his deal at the Ukrainian side, and has expressed his willingness to leave for greener pastures.
Bundesliga side Augsburg are also keen on the highly-rated Dovbyk who emerged as Ukrainian Premier League best young player last term.
The youngster has also attracted national team manager Andriy Shevchenko with his talents, earning a call up to the county’s squad of recent.
Celtic pulled off a masterstroke with the signature of Moussa Dembele from Fulham last summer, and the signs show Dovbyk could be next.
He has netted 12 goals in 12 games this season in the Ukranian Second Division, following Dnipro’s relegation from the Premier League after getting points deducted due to outstanding debts.
Getting Dovbyk in January seems top of Celtic’s transfer plans, and they could be having the next “Shevchenko” play in Parkhead in 2018.
