According to the Daily Mail, Premier League scouts were in attendance during Tuesday’s friendly between Portugal under-19’s and their Spanish counterparts to watch West Ham’s Domingos Quina.
The 17-year-old had a loan move to Championship side Sheffield United fell through on summer transfer deadline day, and the east London club are now looking to send him out in January.
Quina is widely regarded as one the best young midfielders in the land, despite the fact that he’s not made his Premier League bow.
The teenager has only played twice for the senior team officially – in both legs of the Europa League qualifiers against NK Domzale last season.
The Benfica and Chelsea youth product could be given a chance by new boss David Moyes, but a loan exit till the end of the campaign seems more likely.
While such a move will benefit Quina in terms of senior team experience, on the flip side, he could decide to pursue a permanent exit if he eventually gets to enjoy playing opportunities while on loan.
