Football pundit Paul Merson believes that current Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez will next manage Liverpool.
Benitez has done an impressive job since being appointed as manager of the Magpies and led the club to the Championship title and instant promotion to the Premier League last season.
The club have also so far exceeded expectations this season and will achieve their aim of Premier League survival if they are able to maintain their current performances.
Benitez has however been linked with a move away from the club and has previously openly criticized the club for failing to back him sufficiently in the transfer market. He is also likely to be tempted by offers from clubs who can offer him a chance of winning trophies.
During recent times, Benitez has been linked with moves to many clubs including the likes of Everton, West Ham and Liverpool.
Now in a shock claim, Merson believes that his next move will be to Anfield saying: “For me, I think Liverpool will be his next job, let alone Everton.”
