Brazil vs Chile Match Preview

Brazil has been the only team in the CONMEBOL region that has been above and beyond the competition. The five-time World Cup champions are currently in first place with 38 points, 10 points above second-place Uruguay and a massive goal differential of 27.

Neymar has obviously been a standout with six goals but a surprising contributor to this team has been Paulinho with five goals and solid work from the midfield. Tite’s men are coming off a disappointing scoreless draw against Bolivia but should pull off a more impressive performance in this game in front of the home crowd.

Chile has been a solid team in this CONMEBOL region, currently third with 26 points. A draw in this game could secure a World Cup spot or a fifth-place finish but a win would be a much safer option with the way the other games are lined up. La Roja is not in great form, having won only one of its last three games, this includes losses against Paraguay and Bolivia in this stint.

Alexis Sanchez has not been in great form but the Arsenal star did score a goal in Chile’s last game against Ecuador and his performance will be a key to this game and the final score. The match should be a very intense encounter with the importance of the three points for the visiting side.
