According to the Mirror, West Ham and Liverpool are both interested in securing the services of £7million-rated Anderlecht striker Lukasz Teodorczyk.
The Reds were keen on the 26-year-old Polish striker during the summer window following his goalscoring exploits in Belgium’s Jupiler Pro League last term.
Teodorczyk bagged 22 league goals to emerge as the highest goalscorer, and added another 5 in other competitions.
While it’s not exactly known if Liverpool’s interest in the former Dynamo Kiev star has waned or not, West Ham appear willing to beat them to his signature, and did send scouts to watch him against Celtic in the Champions League a fortnight ago.
The Hammers have managed to win just twice in the Premier League this term, averaging a goal per game.
They could do with a quality goalscorer in Teodorczyk, who despite his struggles this term remains a fine striker.
With Diafra Sakho’s latest resurgence, though, it remains to be seen if West Ham would still maintain interest in the Poland international if the Senegalese ends up proving his worth this term.
