Liverpool legend Jan Molby has insisted that Daniel Sturridge has what it takes to rediscover the World-class form which saw him score 22 goals from 26 games whilst partnering Luis Suarez in attack for the Reds during the 2013-14 season.
Sturridge has endured a frustrating time since the 2013-14 season when the Reds narrowly missed out on Premier League success and he has only managed to score ten goals over the past two years and seen his progress hampered by injuries.
Sturridge is one of the most talented players in England, however some have questioned whether he will ever hit a good run of form again.
Molby is one who certainly thinks that it is possible and said, “Apparently he’s training every day so that’s good in itself but now he needs to find his ‘match legs’.
“He looked off the pace but he’ll know that himself and will be as frustrated as the fans. There is no magic button you can press to find your form, Daniel needs to keep showing patience and working. I think he can still be a major force.”
