Everton and West Ham battle to sign England international

Walcott

According to reports, Everton, Southampton and West Ham could be set to battle for the signature of Theo Walcott during the January transfer window.

Walcott appears to no longer be a part of Arsene Wenger’s plans and the Gunners are likely to listen to offers for him in January given that he has just under two years remaining on his current contract.

The 28 year old Walcott is vastly experienced, boasting 65 League goals from 264 appearances for the Gunners and he still has what it takes to compete in the Premier League.

The Toffees could target them as they have been poor in front of goal this season and lack a seasoned Premier League striker after losing Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United during the summer.

Similarly Andy Carroll has been linked with a move to the Toffees in January and should that materialize, Walcott could be a good replacement.
