Divock Origi has hit back at Liverpool supporters who criticized him for his performances.
After falling down the pecking order at the Reds this summer, Origi moved to German club Wolfsburg on a season long loan deal where he is looking to continue his development as a player.
The 22 year old often found himself being jeered by Reds fans due to his inconsistent performances for the club.
However the player feels that the criticism aimed at him was often unfair especially considering that he scored a decent amount of goals. Altogether he scored 23 goals from 86 appearances in all competitions for Liverpool.
Whilst discussing the issue, he said, “You can’t expect a youngster to perform consistently. It went with ups and with downs.
“I scored 21 goals in two years. Not bad. I’ve learned a lot at Liverpool. It’s still my plan to return after this season. But now I’m focusing on Wolfsburg.”
