Aston Villa forward, Ross McCormack, who is currently at Melbourne City, has expressed his opinions on his dismal spell at Villa Park saying that his at the Championship club was a disaster.
McCormack is arguably the biggest transfer flop in the Tony Xia era at Aston Villa after failing to justify his £12million price tag following his arrival from Fulham last summer and he is currently shipped our on loan to Australian club Melbourne City after failing to impress manager Steve Bruce.
The ex Fulham forward was so bad for Villa that he did not even manage to score five goals during his first season at the club and Villa tried to offload the forward in the summer before finally getting rid of him with a move to Melbourne on loan last month.
When asked about his failures in the first press conference for Melbourne, the former Leeds man didn’t cower but admitted that his time at Villa Park was a disaster.
He said in his first Press conference, “It’s been a disaster. There’s no two ways about it. I scored four goals and played something like 25 games. If you look at the five years before that I was averaging over 50 games a season and probably over 20 goals.
“I think most players have a dip in their careers, hopefully that was mine. It’s been a disaster. There’s no two ways about it. I scored four goals and played something like 25 games.
