World winner wants decorated manager to snub West Ham for China

Former Chelsea and Brazil national team boss Luis Felipe Scolari has said that Carlo Ancelotti should ignore interest from West Ham and rather replace him at the helm of Chinese club Guangzhou Evergrande.

Ancelotti is currently without a job after being sacked by Bayern Munich last week.

Scolari who led Brazil to World Cup glory in 2002 before guiding Portugal to the semi-finals of the 2006 World Cup believes that Ancelotti has what it takes to succeed as manager in China.

A move to China will allow Ancelotti to earn a much higher salary than he would get by joining West Ham, though it will mean that he will be managing in a less competitive league.

Scolari said, “If Ancelotti is offered the opportunity to come to Guangzhou, he should consider grasping it.

“Evergrande is a fantastic club, with a great working environment. Not only for Ancelotti, Evergrande is a good destination for any coach who is linked with the club.”
