As per Finnish news outlet Helsingin Sanoma, Leeds United are still interested in signing HJK Helsinki teenage defender Aapo Halme, after initially getting blocked from getting him in the summer transfer window.
The newly-crowned Finnish champions were left with no choice than to beckon upon the 19-year-old in the wake of a massive defensive injury crisis.
Halme went on to make 13 Veikkausliiga appearances for HJK, but hasn’t been in the squad for the last 4 fixtures, which could mean that he isn’t in the immediate first-team plans when the regular senior players are fully fit.
