West Ham manager Slaven Bilic gives his thoughts following defeat

Though West Ham boss Slaven Bilic was disappointed by his team’s 3-2 defeat against Tottenham on Saturday he added that he was proud of the fighting spirit that they showed.

Though Spurs were firmly behind in the game following a brace from Harry Kane and a goal from Christian Eriksen, they managed to claw themselves back into the game through goals from Javier Hernandez and Cheikhou Kouyate.

The loss means that the Hammers have taken just four points from their opening six games. Though the loss is understandable given that Spurs are a better team on paper, the East London club will need to make a significant improvement soon or else Bilic is likely to be fired.

Whilst commenting on the game, the Croatian boss said, “We are disappointed we lost the game. Until that first goal we were proper like last year when we beat them, it was a really good performance.

“Then we lose one ball, with enough players behind, and it was a brilliant finish. But it was a good fight from our side.”
