West Ham star Javier Hernandez has started an online fundraising campaign to raise funds for victims who were affected by the recent earthquake in his native Mexico.

More than 200 people are reported to have died from the earthquake that occurred on Tuesday.

Football clubs from Mexico are helping out and Hernandez, who is one of the greatest talents to come out of Mexico in the modern generation, is also doing his part.

The 29-year-old Hernandez took to social media platform Instagram and wrote, “It’s time to help and I would like to announce the initiative @YoXMex. Only together can we move forward.

“Please donate here .People around the world, I would ask you to help the people of my country. We need a lot of help after what happened. You can donate in the link in my bio. Thank you all!”

Hernandez is not the only Mexican football star that has made an effort to help people from his homeland as Miguel Layun and Andres Guardado have done so.
