Leeds United reportedly keen on 42-goal striker ahead of January transfer window

Leeds did good business during the last summer transfer window, and are already reaping the rewards as they are just 2 points away from the topmost position on the Championship log after 6 games.

Nevertheless, it doesn’t appear manager Thomas Christiansen wants to rest on his oars as the Whites are already planning ahead of the winter transfer window.

As per Sunday Daily Star, Leeds have eyes on £2million-rated Orlando City striker Cyle Larin, and would attempt to bring him to Elland Road at the turn of the year.

Despite having 4 quality primary strikers to beckon upon, the Spaniard boss wants one more as he wants to return the club back to the Premier League.

The 22-year-old Cyle Larin fits the bill given his physicality and goalscoring record.

In 84 MLS appearances for Orlando, the Canada international has 43 strikes to his name.

Turkish Super Lig giants Besiktas are also keen on the North American lethal finisher who appears to be learning a lot from former AC Milan striker and Balon d’Or winner Kaka.

Larin has 22 senior national team caps to his name, and is Orlando’s all-time leading goalscorer over all eras and across all competitions.

He is also the youngest to score 40 goals in MLS history, with his impressive goal ratio, which sees him average a goal every 2 games testament to his quality.

The MLS season ends at the end of the year, and should he decide to move to Europe, Leeds would readily make themselves key contenders for his signature.
