Cresswell reveals West Ham desperate to beat Huddersfield to relieve pressure off Bilic

West Ham defender Aaron Cresswell has revealed that his team are hoping to defeat Huddersfield this Monday in order to relieve the pressure off under-fire manager Slaven Bilic.

The Hammers have lost all three of their opening matches in the Premier League this season and should they end up losing to the newly promoted side, it will be hard to see Bilic keeping his job for long.

From their three games in the League this season, the East London club have also conceded ten goals while they have scored just two and this has consigned them to last place on the standings.

Playing against the Terriers will not be easy considering that they are an in-form team having picked up several points from their first three games.

Cresswell however maintained that his team will be hoping to pull off a win and said, “It’s a massive game for us. It’s our first home game and we really need to kick-start our season – that’s what we’ll be looking to do.

“We know that it is not good enough to get three defeats on the spin, but we’re the only ones who can affect that and we will work hard to put things right. Of course we don’t want to negative stuff, we want to turn that around into a positive and only results and good performances do that.

“That’s what we’ll be looking to do against Huddersfield and hopefully we’ll stop all this [speculation over Bilic’s future]. Huddersfield have had a tremendous start and we want to stop that on Monday by getting thre three points.”
