Star intent on ending Everton career with latest comments

Kevin Mirallas has publicly expressed his frustration with current club Everton after they prevented him from moving to former club Olympiacos during the closing stages of the transfer window.

Mirallas was not selected for the Toffees squad that lost to Chelsea two weeks ago and this was reportedly because manager Ronald Koeman was unhappy with his attitude.

Mirallas now told DH Net about his situation, “I really wanted to join Olympiakos. I’m really sad. Everton didn’t want to let me go.

“I would like to thank all Olympiakos supporters for the many messages they sent me. And they must know that I love their club and, as I said before, one day I will come back to them.”

The Belgian will not be guaranteed regular playing time with the Toffees this season and his latest comments could end up putting his first team chances for the near future in jeopardy.

The 29-year-old Mirallas was previously on the books of Olympiacos from 2010 to 2012. During that period, he scored 34 goals from 67 games and won two League titles and one Greek Cup.
