How Leeds United’s international stars have fared so far

The international break is a time of angst and excitement for many as players leave their clubs and are rewarded for their fine play with international call ups.

Leeds United fans will be holding their breaths that their internationals come back unharmed. So far, they have done that. Here’s a look at the players and their performances till now.

Ezgjan Alioski

The Macedonian played all 90 minutes in his side’s 0-1 win away to Israel on Saturday. He played from the wing in midfield as he typically has done, and continues to be a big player for his country like he is for club. On Tuesday, his side will host Albania.

Stuart Dallas

Northern Irish international Stuart Dallas started his country’s match away to San Marino on Friday, and he would play for 78 minutes. After a slow start, they went on to win 0-3 with all three goals coming after the 70 minute mark.

Pontus Jansson

The Swedish center back was an unused substitute on Thursday as his Sweden side fell away to Bulgaria by a score of 3-2. That loss saw them cede top spot in the group away.
