Celtic attacker looking forward to Champions League

Celtic vs Hearts

Celtic midfielder Jonny Hayes has revealed that he is looking forward to taking on the world’s best footballers in the Champions League.

The Hoops have been placed in Group B of Europe’s premier club competition where they will play against Paris-Saint Germain, Bayern Munich and Anderlecht.

After dominating Scottish football last season, this will be the perfect opportunity for Brendan Rodgers men to prove that they are capable of competing against the best clubs in World football.

It will also be interesting to see how the Hoops will handle the threat of Neymar, who has been a sensation since joining PSG.

Whilst talking about the upcoming Champions League games, Hayes said, “We knew no matter what draw we got it was going to be tough. There are a couple of glamour ties but the aim for us is to be in Europe after Christmas whatever happens.

“It was going to be tough regardless of who we got but PSG seem to be the team that everyone is talking about at the minute.

“They’ve got Mbappe and Neymar which brings that attraction to it. It’s to be expected the way football is going now. It’s a different planet the elite stage.”
