West Ham failed with deadline day move for Premier League attacker

According to reports, West Ham had a loan inquiry for Everton winger Kevin Mirallas turned down on deadline day.

After starting the season in poor form, the Hammers have yet to score a point in the Premier League and are looking to bolster their side.

Mirallas has not been featuring much this season and was left out of the Toffees side that lost against Chelsea during the weekend. This was said to be because manager Ronald Koeman was unhappy with his attitude.

Though the player extended his contract at Goodison Park this summer and the deal currently has three years remaining, a move away had been seen as a possibility on deadline day.

As it has not come into fruition, Mirallas will now need to play regularly this season if he wishes to win a place in the Belgium team that will play in the World Cup next year.

It remains to be seen if Koeman and Mirallas will be able to repair their relationship which at the moment does appear to be strained.
