Champions League winning manager tipped as replacement for West Ham’s Bilic

Following 3 losses in as many EPL games, West Ham head into the first international break of the new season in 20th place on the Premier League log,

The Hammers have lost against Manchester United, Southampton and Newcastle, conceding 10 goals in the process and scoring just twice.

As a result, manager Slaven Bilic has been tipped by Sky Bet as the first manager to get the boot in 2017-18, and with tricky fixtures against Huddersfield Town, West Brom and Tottenham next, the Croat might be out of job should he refuse to turn the fortunes of the London club around.

Per adventure he’s shown the exit, Paddy Power has Newcastle’s Rafa Benitez (5/12) as the most favourites for the job, ahead of the likes of Roberto Mancini, Eddie Howe, Alan Pardew, Roy Hodgson, Ryan Giggs, Frank Lampard and Tim Sherwood.

West Ham have spent around £40million this summer recruiting the likes of Marko Arnautovic and Javier Hernandez thus far, and despite a recently injury-ravaged squad, much more has been expected of Bilic and his charges.

Benitez have had a similar budget to work with at Newcastle, spending £36.4million on 5 players thus far, but on paper, he still doesn’t boast of the quality squad Bilic has.

Going forward, the fortunes of both managers might change for good or bad dependent on the results they produce.
