After confirming that Manchester City midfielder Patrick Roberts will be returning to the Hoops on loan once again this season, Brendan Rodgers is apparently dead set on signing another attacker to fill out his side even more.
That man is said to be Arsenal striker Chuba Akpom. The 21-year-old has found chances to impress to be few and far between with the Gunners, and is seeking a way out.
However, there might be a battle on their hands as the Daily Record reports that Leeds United are also looking to secure his signature.
It is thought that this will be a permanent transfer, as Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has said he too many players at his disposal at the moment.
The interesting thing is that Akpom wants first team football. In truth, neither club would guarantee him that at this moment. He, of course, could grab the spot eventually, but it would not be given to him as both Celtic and Arsenal have great options already!
