Sunderland boss admits interest in signing Premier League attacker

Sunderland manager Simon Grayson has admitted that he is interested in signing Robert Snodgrass this summer.

Snodgrass only arrived at West Ham in January following an impressive first half of last season with Hull City. However he struggled to perform for the East London club and failed to find the back of the net from 15 Premier League appearances.

The Scotland international is not part of Slaven Bilic’s plans for the season as was left out of the squad that was thrashed by Manchester United last weekend.

Grayson has now seemingly confirmed that he is interested in signing Snodgrass by saying, “When people like him become available you would be foolish not to consider it.

“That would be a deal dictated by finances. Can we do it? Who knows, but we might ask the question.”

Grayson will be familiar with the 29-year-old Snodgrass, with the two having worked together at Leeds United.
