Chris Sutton has suggested that Celtic star Leigh Griffiths is better than West Ham newcomer Javier Hernandez.
This is indeed very questionable especially considering that the Mexican Hernandez is a two time Premier League winner with Manchester United, while Griffiths has yet to succeed outside Scotland.
Sutton wrote on Twitter, “Griffiths over Hernandez everyday of the week… and I like Hernandez”
Griffiths has proven to be a very reliable player for the Hoops during recent times, having netted 89 goals from 147 appearances for the club.
However, it is unfair to say that Griffiths is better than Hernandez at this stage. If he wants to draw comparisons, we first have to see how the 26-year-old Griffiths fares in Leagues outside Scotland.
Hernandez recently joined West Ham from German club Bayer Leverkusen for £16 million and he is expected to rejuvenate the Hammers attack after it struggled last season.
