According to reports, Newcastle defender DeAndre Yedlin has returned to training.
The American international had to miss his club’s first Premier League game of the season against Tottenham last weekend through a hamstring injury and will be hoping to play a part in his team’s match against Huddersfield this weekend.
The 24-year-old Yedlin is a key part of the Magpies team, having made 32 appearances in all competitions for the club last season and helping it achieve promotion to the Premier League.
He is particularly known for his fast pace and is arguably one of the quickest players in the Premier League this season.
His fast surges from defence are particularly useful for counter attacks and creating attacking opportunities.
The return of Yedlin will also be good news for the US national team as it means that he will likely be available for their World Cup qualifier against Costa Rica on September 1.
