Tottenham can reportedly sign 23-year-old target for £36million

As cited on TMW, Mundo Deportivo claims that a £36million fee has been decided by Barcelona for attacking midfielder and Tottenham target Denis Suarez.

The 23-year-old is also attracting Serie A giants Napoli, and the two suitors are set to do battle over his signature.

Suarez is set to continue being a fringe player under new Barca manager Ernesto Valverde, hence he would in all likelihood jump at an offer to take him away from Camp Nou.

The versatile Spain international winger penned a 4-year deal upon returning to Catalonia from Villareal last summer.

Tottenham are hoping to shore up their attack for the long season ahead, and Suarez’s technical style of play ticks all the boxes.

However, if they would be willing to spend a club record fee for a player set to play largely off the bench remains to be seen.

Spurs want to leave it late in completing their transfer dealings as we enter into the last days of the window having made no addition all summer.

Suarez will be a quality option for manager Mauricio Pochettino, and his stint at Manchester City means he isn’t new to English football.

If his price can be lowered, Tottenham will be keen on securing a deal for the former Sevilla youngster, and he sure can help boost their squad depth for 2017-18.
